At HCG Chicago we stick to the original Simeons’ diet plan, plain and simple.
We’ve seen a number of homeopathic HCG companies promoting a ‘new and improved’ HCG diet, adding in a number of so-called safe sugars, more vegetables, meats and fruits to the original diet to make it more exciting to follow. But there’s a problem with this. Folks who stray from the original diet gain weight back faster and are disappointed they didn’t get the results as someone who followed the original plan.
There are cheap flavored additives covering everything from black cherry to coconut to buttery popcorn and every flavor in between. Sure, this may make the food taste sweeter or more creamy, but we checked out the ingredients on these flavorings. One guess what’s in every one of these flavorings – chemicals! NOTE: most brands of ‘natural flavors’ you add to food contain chemicals.
One of the objectives of being on the HCG diet is that while you are experiencing weight and fat loss you are releasing toxins from the body. Does it really make sense to add in more chemicals while you’re trying to eat clean and release old gunk from your body?
Besides, part of following the original HCG diet means you are eating pure whole foods, and you most likely will be able to identify that chemical taste in foods (yuck!) by the time you get to Phases 3 and 4.
Personally, we feel the beauty of the original HCG diet is its simplicity, and, it’s what we’ve been most successful with not only for ourselves, but for our patients as well.
There’s nothing quite like an original!
